Your bamboo toothbrush still has plastic in it.
The handle is bamboo. The bristles are nylon — and that is the end you put in your mouth. SELVA is natural fibres the whole way.

Bamboo in your hand. Nylon in your mouth.
You bought bamboo to get rid of the plastic. But it is not the handle you brush with — it is the nylon bristles. Twice a day, every day.
Change one thing in your bathroom.
And be done with it.
Same routine. Same feeling. Just without the plastic.
Built on honesty
We would rather tell you the awkward part first. Three things you should know before you buy.
No animal dies for a toothbrush
The horsehair is cut from the mane — a by-product of the food industry. If you want to avoid animal products entirely, we have the vegan brush with bristles of bamboo fibre instead.
Natural bristles dry more slowly
We admit it. Rinse it well, shake off the water, and stand it with the bristles up. Then it lasts the six to eight weeks it should.
Nothing to pull apart
The whole brush goes in the compost — bristles and all. No pliers, no sorting.
SELVA against what you know
We compare against the materials, not the brands. And we do not win every row.

Bamboo with nylon bristles does just as well as us on climate. The difference is the bristles — and they are the part that touches your gums.

Which brush suits you?
Both are plastic-free the whole way through. Both clean thoroughly. The difference is the bristles: horsehair is medium, vegan bamboo charcoal is soft.

Horsehair
- You want a thorough clean with a bit more bite
- You are coming from a medium nylon brush
- You are in doubt — this is our most tested

Vegan bamboo
- Your gums are sore or bleed easily
- You want to avoid animal products entirely
- Same handle and same price as horsehair

Three parts. None of them plastic.
It goes in your mouth twice a day for six to eight weeks. So here is exactly what it is made of.
Solid moso bamboo
Cut from a single piece. The base is sealed with beeswax — the white disc at the end. Not plastic.
Natural fibres set without glue
The bristles sit in drilled holes and are held mechanically. No glue, no dye, no coating.
Paper packaging
Unbleached paper and paper tape. The whole pack is soil again in about 6 months — nothing to pull apart.
The whole story — and the whole proof
Two sides of the same thing: why we started, and what is actually documented.
Customers say it better than we can

Now the whole family uses them
My kids call it 'the wooden toothbrush' and won't use anything else. I did not see that coming.
The best toothbrush I have ever had
Great service, excellent product — the best toothbrush I have ever had.

Softer than my old one
I have always had sensitive teeth. The bristles are actually softer than my old brush. No problems.
The whole routine. No plastic.
